Lavender Farm

What's the difference between a comet and a falling star?

The word "comet" came to the English language through Latin cometes from the Greek word komē, meaning "hair of the head"; Aristotle first used the derivation komētēs to depict comets as "stars with hair." The astronomical symbol for comets accordingly consists of a disc with a hairlike tail.

Falling stars on the other hand are small, solid bodies that enter the Earth’s atmosphere as they travel through space. These stars are commonly called meteors. Meteors can enter the our atmosphere with a velocity that ranges from ten to seventy km/sec. These meteors can plunge into the atmosphere at velocities ranging from ten to seventy kilometers per second. Consequently, the friction that is created is great enough to cause the meteor to begin burning up which produces the light that we refer to as a falling star.

Sunset

The sunset is more beautiful than the sunrise because it is more brightly colored. The shades of red and orange are vibrant with gray sky as background.

For romantic people ,it evokes memories. For people seeking peace, it evokes serenity, a symbol of break from a chaotic world. Sun setting to prepare for the next morning.

Lake

The word lake is from the Latin word lacus. It is a body of water which is larger than a pond but is not a part of the ocean.

Unlike the seas and oceans, lakes have calming effect.

Lakes are placid that the water are very tranquil. So tranquil, that the mountains, the trees and the sky are mirrored in this body of water.

The water takes the color of the sky.

Kumamoto Castle

It is in Kumamoto, Japan is open for tours and sightseeing. While mostly built with concrete, it has a number of wooden buildings within, which were burnt during previous battles but continually remained intact until today.

Kumamoto Castle (熊本城; -jō) is a castle in Kumamoto, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan that has been opened to the public for tours. A large, and in its day, an extremely well fortified Japanese castle. The donjon (castle central keep) is a concrete reconstruction built in 1960, but several ancillary wooden buildings remain of the original castle. The castle was besieged during the Satsuma Rebellion, and was sacked and burned after a 53-day siege.

Tundra

Ice looks beautiful but just like the desert, it is not a place for people to enjoy.
